Waaaaalllllll, I'm on vacation today to help Liz take Bucky, Smokey and Gidget to the vet. Here is the Face of the day:

That would be Bob Van Pelt, married to my cousing Connie, Me, and a bunch o'trout caught in the American River near Sacramento, CA in 1972. I shoulda got some photos of that rattler that Bob stoned.
I'll never forget trying to walk out of that river. I thought I'd die down there.

And, of course, here's a non-fish face:

Yeah, just squeezin' one out.

Okay, so I planned a "Face of the Day" every day. Silly plan.

Some days are just too busy. Classes start at SNC on Monday so I've been sprinting for the finish line the last several days trying to get all those "last minute" things done. Silly me.
Today, we will be going to mass this afternoon. Tomorrow, I will be going to Madison for the Area75 Agenda Planning meeting. I'll be leaving at about 6:30 a.m. We have committee meetings starting at 9 a.m.
We got 3-4 inches of snow last night. The forecast was for "maybe an inch". The track moved more north than they thought. I ran into snow about two miles south of De Pere and the trip home was slow and careful. Once again, my "take the back roads and stay away from others" strategy paid off. I didn't have to follow any more conservative drivers at all.
Here is today's Face of the day:

You asked for it. One of the reasons I wanted a webcam for my computer was so I could photograph plenty of diverse images of my face. Narcisistic? Perhaps. A guy has to have some vices.
Of course, I'm hoping to be able to use my webcam with Instant Messaging but currently, I don't have any buddies that have cameras or even a fast enough Internet connection so I can broadcast my image to them. That will probably change over time.

Here is another picture of faces for today:

It's Nappy and Nouli. I sure miss them. However, I don't miss all the fresh puncture wounds and scratches that I used to have.
Also, we now have Murry as a house cat. She is currently playing with the mousie and the thing that hangs from the step stool. She doesn't have any claws so she never scratches and she's a super lap cat. She likes to crawl up on Liz'es lap when we are watching TV at night.
Murry and Smokey don't get along too well. But the surprising thing is that Murry attacks Smokey. Smokey used to attack Nappy and Nouli and now she's getting payback. Oh, Murry can't do any real damage. She, after all, does not have any claws.
Well, on to exciting life experiences!

Window Treatments 101!

Now that the kitties are gone with Geoff, we finally got some window treatments for our remodeled dining room and living room. Here are some pictures:

First, the fireplace! We are gonna light fire in it as soon as I post this.

We put up curtains and blinds in the living room. Liz did a great job of picking them out, don't you think?

Now, how about one of me looking right into the camera?

Here is my whole department plus Spanky taken at our pot-luck this Christmas season.

Now, lets see what good photos I've taken on my phone lately.......

This is looking north out of one of the faculty offices on 3rd floor Cofrin. It looks out over the DePere bridge north toward Green Bay.

This is my new mirror right beside my monitor on my back desk. Liz thoughtfully bought it for me so that I can see my door behind me and I don't get "snuck up" on.

This is my new golf poster that Liz bought me. You can see the golf-bag pencil holder that my sister Mary gave me for Christmas too.

Oops! almost forgot the dining room. Ain't it pretty?

That's it for now. Gotta light that fire.
